RDS Logger - testing and logging tool for RDS information

The software package is based on separate modules, designed to record RDS data out of UECP data streams coming from a local or remote RDS Decoder, such as a 2wcom A20 FM Monitoring Decoder. The recorded and stored data can be replayed at any time, using the Log Player, which is part of the 2wcom RDS Logger software package. The required part or specific time range to be played back can easily be selected via the innovative user interface.

Depending on the test requirements there are two options to replay RDS data.

For analyzing purposes the replayed RDS data is linked to the 2wcom RDS decoding software tool RDS Lab and then displayed in plain text along with the respective information.

For real testing purposes the replayed RDS data can be fed into an RDS encoder, such as a 2wcom C02 and then passed to a signal generator. With this option the unit under test will receive the replayed RDS information, in the same way as under live conditions. See test case sample.
